Day 11: Where you are...

So today's post is a weird one... maybe because I've had a bit of weird day! Busier than I anticipated and a lot of things to get to and get done which resulted in me procrastinating and postponing the post of today's journal entry...

And then I realised - it's okay! It is what it is... I need to just BE! Be where I am and where I'm meant to be and just accept each moment as it unfolds. That's not always the case, and I'm the first to say and share that one shouldn't just merely exist in life and let life pass you by. You have to be an active participant - aware and alert and present enough to life your fullest life!

But sometimes.. like today for me, where we're just a bit more tired than usual, and the toll of the week or past couple of weeks or months catch up to you, it's okay to just BE where you are!

I found this quote a while back, and today's post reminded me that where you are is sometimes a really powerful thing.

"Where you are is where you're meant to be!" I LOVE this! I've been going through a pretty intense time on many levels of my life. My life is transforming in almost every aspect from my personal life, family and career life, spiritual and emotional life and I sometimes feel like I'm just a complete mess and lost... but then I have a bit of a slow day like today... and realise how every step, big or little, has brought me to this point, and how grateful I am that it has despite the challenges, hard and tough times, tears and feeling of anxiety and overwhelmingness. It's all just a part of the journey and bigger picture!

It took me a long time to get to this point... to realise that hindsight is our biggest teacher, but it's to learn from this to give us the insight to have foresight! Read that last sentence again... It's from living and failing and learning that we gain experience that gives us the wisdom to life our lives that much more insightfully. I love this quote by C.S Lewis which captures this perfectly for me,
"Isn't it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different..."

So today, I just want to remind you - it's okay if you don't have it all figured out. It's okay if you aren't where you wanted to be or thought you would be or whatever else it is that you had planned in your life. WHERE YOU ARE is a powerful thing. Where you are is where you're meant to be... Embrace this. Own it. And work from there and one day at a time!

Much love always and for the love of wisdom, Poonam
